That time St. Stanislaus resurrected a key witness in a case…
” …days after the funeral took place!
Stanislaus was a humble man. He desired to live in poverty, like Our Lord, and to this end gave away all his wealth when he became a priest. Contrary to his desires, however, he was elected bishop of Krakow. He took up the see only after the pope explicitly ordered him to do so.
His holy office brought him into the sphere of the Polish king—Boleslaus, a corrupt and cruel man. King and bishop frequently fell into conflict as Stanislaus sought to convert the king or intercede on behalf of his subjects.
One day, Stanislaus purchased land for the church from a man named Piotr. When this man died soon afterward, his family tried to reclaim the land, and Boleslaus sided with them. When Stanislaus learned of this, he strode into the court and asked for three days to produce the witness of the purchase—none other than Piotr himself. The king, laughing at such an obviously impossible request, granted the three days to the bishop.
The saintly bishop spent that time fasting and praying. On the third day, he dressed in full episcopal regalia, went to the cemetery, and begged God to raise Piotr from his grave. Immediately, Piotr rose out of the earth.
Bishop and resurrected man went to the court, where Piotr gave his evidence and rebuked his greedy family. The king quickly declared that Stanislaus did indeed own the land. Bishop and resurrected man returned to the cemetery, where Stanislaus asked Piotr if he would like to continue living. Piotr, however, declined, preferring to return to his eternal rest.
Despite this demonstration of the bishop’s holiness and communion with God—or perhaps because of it—Boleslaus continued to clash with him. Finally, in 1079, the king murdered Stanislaus with his own hands as the saint stood at the altar,”
Hahahahahahahhauahahaha I would have expected this from here in Florida, not in Kentucky! But then again there’s a ton of witches over there too. Surprised she didn’t go to the church or Satan or something. Lol
The eclipse comes this Monday, April 8th. I have to say that I usually love eclipses. They’re great for recharging amulets. Banishing spells. Exorcisms.
Basically anything that would require some force. But something about this eclipse is troubling me deeply. And I can’t put my finger on it. I read the cards and the Gods reminded me of what my Godmother in Santeria reminded me of. That natural phenomenon like full moons and eclipses or planetary conjunctions are doorways.
Openings to the spiritual world.
Watch it live on YouTube here
Normally, this is a good thing. I welcome eclipses. And messengers from the other side. But I feel really bad about this one. The spirits told me to beware of bad spirits coming through the eclipse.
A Conjunction of Darkness : Eclipse, New Moon and Mercury in the sign of Aries, and Mercury Retrograde on April Fool’s
Mercury Retrograde started on April Fool’s Day. Which added more power to the God Mercury in his reaper aspect. Mercury has always been a trickster. So this just makes him worse. He was playing tricks on everyone.
But then we also have the dying of the moon. And it’s happening at the exact same time as the dying of the sun. Because on the 8th of April, this Moon’s Day we have a curious phenomenon. A total solar eclipse combined with the New Moon. A total solar eclipse is symbolic of the Sun God’s dying.
The Sun in the reaper aspect. The Moon is also exalted on Máni’s day. Máni being the Nordic moon God. And New Moon’s and Lunar Eclipses are the moon in its reaper aspect. So this rare “double death” as it were, is almost like twins dying.
Máni and Sol the Deity of the sun, are siblings. Twins and even regular siblings, can act as doors into the spiritual world. With one looking inward and the other outward. Like a double gate. So I think the bad feeling I am getting is that.
The exact time of the new moon is at 2:23pm. The eclipse follows the new moon.
And to make it worse, it’s a new moon in Aries. Aries is a fire sign. And Mercury itself is in the sign of Aries and will remain so until May 15th. Not all of it is bad however, according to magical recipes online,
But also a warning,
There are many supernatural beings across cultures who try to end the world via eclipses. It makes me wonder if something like that is out there right now. Maybe not literally end the planet. I doubt somehow that is going to happen. But bring forth more chaos and destruction.
Another warning : all barriers including the veil are going to drop. Now how much they will drop I don’t know. But if you live near a crossroads or a cemetery or any body of water you should take extra precautions. Because all of those are naturally portals. Same with hills and mountains.
But regardless, here’s the random links for this day
The folktale tells of a giant frog that tried to eat the moon. This in reality is how the people of Laos explain a lunar eclipse. The disappearance of the moon is taken as a bad sign. So the people made a great effort of frighting away the frog from the moon. They fired their guns into the air and made as much noise as they can.
The frog is then frightened by the noise. And it releases its grip on the moon and it is restored to its original shape. The story comes from the Frog and Moon blog.
Recently, I started getting into the stories and beliefs of the Hmong.
A very interesting people. They have a fascinating culture. I disagree with most Hmong politically. For like Cuban immigrants, they’re very right wing and conservative. But whenever I meet Hmong, we tend to bond over magic and religion.
I have a keen interest in lots of indigenous Asian religions. One of my friends here has a blog about the Iban people in Borneo. Please subscribe to it here on wordpress. She has amazing accounts and folktales. Some translated into English and some not.
One day I will make a post about her work. But anyways, back to the Hmong. I watched this video recently from one of my favorite YouTubers.
Hmong believe that when their relatives die, they go through a 13 day interval. Where their deceased relatives are earth bound and are around them. At the final day, they’re released using a ritual. Crossed over to be with their ancestors. And that’s what caught my attention.
In Hellenismos
The Odyssey Book IX – Nekuia, in Which Odysseus Speaks to Ghosts
Readers of my blog know that among all the religions I practice, is the Greek religion. It’s called Hellenismos. And we’re taught by the faith that when someone we love or know dies, we have to be purified and mourn for 13 days. Even if they aren’t a blood relative. Even if it’s a pet.
We aren’t allowed to worship any Gods during those days. Because we’re ritually impure. We basically wreak of death and sadness. And no God wants to take offerings from someone who smells like that. We have to take down and cover all of our idols and shrines.
The only shrines and altars we can use are for the dead. Or other spirits. We pray to our ancestors and give them offerings instead. We take this time to be closer to them. So that they can help the deceased as well as the living during this time of transition.
And we ask them to cross over the loved one who had died. Send them to the place of the ancestors and to provide whatever assistance is necessary. Again this is for animals too. By the end of the 13 days, we add that human or animal’s picture to our shrine of the dead. And they officially join our spiritual guides.
The day after the 13th day, we are able to pray to, and worship our Gods again. We set our altars and shrines back to normal. Some of us even do special purifications for all 13 days.
In Christianity & all it’s variants
Lamento (Il Compianto di Cristo) or Lamentation (The Mourning of Christ) by Giotto di Bondone
In Catholicism, and semi catholic traditions, the altar is bare. Holy images are covered up. Contemporary or mainstream Catholicism, does this to honor Jesus sacrifice. But in the more mystical variants of Catholicism, there’s a stronger reason. Everyone from Romani (Gypsies) in Cuba, to Santeros, and Spiritualists, leave their ancestor shrines and altars barren as well.
We also cover up our holy Christian imagery. It’s similar to the Parentalia festival of the ancient Romans. Because we believe that Jesus has died again in the spiritual world. He enters the underworld and becomes a great King of the Dead. I’ve even heard some claim Jesus does another harrowing of Hell each year around this time.
In which Jesus, goes into the dark, untamed regions of the underworld to save souls. Those who are trapped in both purgatory and hell. I have heard strange tales from people of various backgrounds. Recently, they did a new episode of Relatos de la Noche (tales of the night). They did their yearly video on Holy Week horror stories.
Strange things that happen during Holy Week. Because it’s believed that demons and other dark spirits are loose during this time. That they specifically choose either the eve or the days of a holiday to have their own holiday. They do this as a form of mockery. And they especially like to torment the faithful.
To show them that their faith is useless. This leads us to the most recent episode down here. An account by a Catholic priest no less. Who told one of the strangest tales I had ever heard before.
This account was related by a parishioner from Mexico. This person asked the priest why they cover the images during Holy Week. The priest told him it was to mourn the death of Christ on the cross. Or at least that was the official explanation. But the priest went on to tell them he wasn’t so sure that was the only reason.
He said that once, he forgot to cover the images. And all the Saints had left their shrines. They had left their icons, and crosses. Even their paintings. And they were walking around like flesh and blood people.
He didn’t say they were demons per say. Just that after that, he made sure to cover every shrine without exception. I can’t say for sure what they were. Churches are supposed to be a holy places. And evil spirits aren’t supposed to be able to inhabit a blessed space.
But then again, he didn’t follow the church tradition. And there are reasons for our traditions. Even if today people mock them. And there are places all over the world that seem to be naturally unholy. So who knows what it was he had seen there.
With that, I take my leave of you,

Yes there are Christian wizards and witches. And it’s a long standing tradition. You can find them anywhere in the world. Even among Protestants. And yet the more conservative branches of Christians are always talking about not using magic.
So as a Christo Pagan I figured I would dedicate this week’s post just to Abrahamic Magic!
Don’t practice witchcraft! Said the old Wizard in his regalia swinging the magic incenseback and forth……
Before I do, let me say this : I am a Christo Pagan. So my views are not 100% the same as others. There are Christian Magicians who absolutely are Monotheist and are even Priests or Deacons in multiple denominations. But they’re monotheist. They wouldn’t agree with most of what I believe.
They would agree with me on the mystical nature of God and his spirit beings. Be they Saints, Angels, or even the nature spirits that some Christian mystics believe in. That goes back to Hebrew culture about mysterious entities in the Earth God created alongside humanity. Not angels or demons but something else entirely. So I do not claim to represent everyone.
Some people mentioned here aren’t full witches per say. They are spiritualists and mediums of the Christian tradition. But I would still call them magic users of some sort. I’m just randomly adding links on here to things and people I find fascinating.
You know how we have weird shit that always happens in Miami? Well I guess now we can add dead people on Facebook to the list. My cousin Theresa died a month or so ago. Well my sister was posting on Facebook and a few people liked her post. This caught her attention.
Yeah it’s exactly the person you thought.
She screen capped it and sent it to my Mom
In Spanish my Mom is saying,
“That’s weird, someone must have entered her account and I wasn’t even friends with her on there,”
So either she got hacked or someone she knows is using her profile. Or she’s sending likes on FB from the great beyond. Her sending likes from the other side is less creepy than someone in her account. Who steals a dead person’s profile? My Mom turned to me and said,
“This family always has something weird going on,”
So I turn to her back and said,
“At least it’s a Facebook like. It could have been a phone call from a ghost,”
